In the design of each home, our goal is to achieve a seamless transition between the interior and the exterior. Large glass panels facilitate an open flow of movement, light and air, enhancing comfort for residents and guests alike. Solar incidence is carefully considered, leading to the incorporation of long eaves on the ground floor to provide protection from the elements and to extend the living spaces outward, creating shaded areas that may offer views of the golf course.
Taking into account the area’s natural characteristics and vegetation, each design aims to respectfully complement the surroundings. Wood is used as the primary material to visually echo the nearby pine trees, with a color palette of beige and light taupe hues to evoke the region’s coastal sand and pine boles . Our ultimate objective is to create tranquil homes where nature and architecture coexist harmoniously.
Homes in this region typically feature small windows, classic angled roofs, and short or absent eaves, with the walls serving as the main barriers between the interior and the exterior.
In contrast, our design approach focuses on creating an almost invisible transition between built and natural spaces. Walls and windows are composed of large glass panels that can be fully opened when needed. Instead of angled roofs, horizontal planes are used to extend the spaces on the ground floor, while wood panels cover and protect the facades on the upper floor. Simple gardens have been transformed into thoughtful landscaping that complements the surrounding vegetation. All these design choices result in homes that are seamlessly integrated with the environment.
